AppLoom's sign-up asked for eleven fields before showing anyone the product.

Sixty per cent of people left on the second screen, which asked for company size — a question with no bearing on whether the product would work for them.
The flow is now an email address and a password. Everything else is asked in context, inside the product, by which point people are willing to answer. Completion rose from 38% to 71%.
